Evan Hodson.
I completed my diploma in Therapeutic and Clinical Sports Massage from New Zealand College of Massage in 2006. Since then I have worked with numerous athletes and teams at the top of their game. I specialise in Sports Massage with an emphasis on breaking down and realigning muscle fibres by using deep tissue and trigger point techniques. In my sessions, I use a lot of active and passive movement techniques which helps to achieve the best results possible for you. I have also completed a Diploma in Exercise Science in 2011. I use the knowledge gained from this Diploma to help clients with muscle injuries by prescribing muscle strengthening and stretching programmes. This helps control muscle and postural imbalances.
I love the outdoor lifestyle Nelson has to offer, so in my spare time I mountain bike, kayak and paddle Waka Ama. With my experience I would love to help you get the most out of your outdoor activities.

I completed my studies in 2011 in Chile, receiving an Advanced Technical Diploma in Massage Therapy and Sport Rehabilitation. Since then I have worked as a massage therapist and have taken some alternative courses over the years to be able to improve myself in the area and provide a more complete service. I love helping clients and making them feel that all they needed was a good massage.
The saying goes:
good massage
good humor
good day...
In my free time I love to go hiking or simply take care of myself spending time on the beach, or in places where I feel happy and make me feel good.
Nicki Jury.
I received a Bachelor of Sports and Therapeutic Massage in 2010 and have always had an interest in sports and the workings of the human body.
Whilst living in Invercargill I had the opportunity of working with cyclists competing in Tour of Southland and we regularly worked with the Royal NZ Ballet when they were on tour. I have worked in a gym setting where I worked with variety of sportspeople who understand the need to maintain their bodies with regular massage and have also spent six years working in a Health Spa.
The techniques I find to be most effective are a mix of deep tissue, neuromuscular, myofascial and trigger point release.
My other passions include tramping, camping, photography, gardening and DIY projects.
Nicki now lives in Christchurch and comes back occasionally to locum.

I am the proud owner and manager of Massage Works, which I established when I moved to Nelson over 18 years ago.
I have been in professional practice since 1998, and I am passionate about helping people achieve their health, energy, and fitness goals. I believe massage can be of great benefit to everybody, and as research has proven, can have positive effects on many aspects on your health and well being.
I get a great sense of satisfaction working with clients that are pro-active in their own health. I enjoy teaching techniques and tools that my clients can take away to improve their everyday life and remain fit and active.
My style of massage is a combination of all the techniques I have learnt over my years of practice but is predominately pressure point and deep tissue, although each client is treated individually and given a treatment that best suit their needs.
I enjoy spending my spare time outdoors with my partner, friends, and my dogs, mountain biking, running and hiking, as well as time in my garden.
