Deep Tissue & Remedial Massage
Persistent muscle pain and stiffness don’t have to become part of everyday life.
Treatment focuses on the underlying muscle tension contributing to your discomfort, rather than only providing temporary relief.

Is Deep Tissue Massage Right for You?
Deep tissue massage may help if you’re experiencing:

- Neck and shoulder pain
- Back pain
- Tight hips and legs
- Muscle tension and stiffness
- Headaches caused by muscle tension
- Restricted movement
- Ongoing aches and pains
- Postural discomfort from work, sport or everyday activities
Focused Treatment for Problem Areas
Deep Tissue Massage uses firm pressure to work more specifically on areas of ongoing tightness and restricted movement.
Trigger Point Therapy may also be used to work on specific areas of tension and referred discomfort.
What to Expect
Deeper work can feel intense at times, so we communicate with you throughout the treatment to keep the pressure within your comfort zone.
Some tenderness may be felt afterwards, particularly where focused work has been done. This is usually temporary and settles within a day or two.
For longer-standing problems, regular treatments may be helpful initially. How often you come will depend on what’s going on, your goals and how you respond to treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage at Massage Works has made a real difference to the ongoing tension and stiffness I was dealing with. The treatment is focused, the pressure is always well judged, and I leave feeling freer and moving more easily.
